What size should a motorbike number plate be?

UK rules focus on the character size, stroke, spacing and margins rather than one mandatory overall plate size. Most newer motorcycles display a rear plate only. For public-road use, choose the road-use option shown on the product page and keep the registration spacing exactly as it appears on your documents.

Are 3D and 4D motorbike number plates road legal?

Raised 3D characters can be permitted, but the complete plate must meet current UK requirements, including a reflective background, solid black characters, correct spacing and required markings. Custom spacing and show-plate configurations must not be used on public roads.

What documents are needed to order a road-use motorbike plate?

A registered supplier must see documents proving your identity and address, plus your entitlement to use the registration. Examples include a driving licence together with a V5C, V750 or V778.
